Children's Ministries

Our church offers an AWANA Ministry for children ages 2 through 12th grade, and starts each Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m. in our Family Life Center from September through May. The term 'AWANA' stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," Awanaand is a reference to the Bible verse II Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

This Children's Ministry emphasizes scripture memorization and a clear, age appropriate understanding of the Gospel message, presented in a fast-paced and fun-filled format. Our AWANA Commander, Matthew Matlock, is committed to developing the very best ministry possible, and he has enlisted some of our best workers to serve in this program. Any child ages 2 through 12th grade is welcome to attend, and is encouraged to bring friends along, too! Parents are welcome to stay and watch, help if they would like, or attend our Bible Study & Prayer Service.

For more information, contact the AWANA Commander: Matthew Matlock,

Age 3-5: Younger Children's Church and K-4th Grade: Older Children's Church.

The Children's Church program takes place in Room 213 across from the church library and in the Family Life Center, during Sunday morning worship services. Children participate in the Children's Sermon in the Worship Services and then head to children's church. Your child can be picked up in Room 213 or the Family Life Center after services.

Our Children's church is designed to teach the real life application of Jesus Christ and to introduce children to the concept of worship, to encourage them to apply the Bible to their lives, and to illustrate what it means to have a relationship with Christ.
